Coral Bay: This is an increasingly popular resort, with shops and restaurants on the approach road and water-sports facilities on the beach. The sands are clean and pleasant and is situated as the name suggest in a bay, so idea for children to play in. The pink sand like deposits along the shoreline is actually coral. The beach here is fantastic and has been awarded for its cleanliness, the long sandy bay has a headland at both ends and there are plenty of water sports to try. There is also a nesting spot for turtles close by at Cape Lara. The sea here stays warm enough to bathe until early December. Click here for our pictures
Kykkos Monastery: At the top of Troodos mountain about 1318 m high, in the north west of Troodos, stands the richest and most splendid monastery in Cyprus, Kykkos Monastery. Kykkos was founded in the 11th century but unfortunately it has been burned down several times and there are no reminders of the original building, in contrast to the other Cypriot monasteries. This is a real gem and well worth the trip.

Churches & Shrines: There are many churches & shrines to be found all over Cyprus, many date back thousands of years. Some are popular tourist attractions but there are many tucked away in unknown villages and up on Mount Troodos just waiting for you to find them.
Adonis Falls: Only 20 minutes from Coral Bay, although a rather nail-biting drive! From Coral Bay there are plenty of homemade signs showing the way to the Falls. Once there you will find two ice cool pools, along with a stunning waterfall. If you stay until early evening you will quite often find some young locals jumping or even diving from great heights.
Paphos:
Paphos has some serious historical clout. there are the vast fourth-century BC Tombs of the Kings, set high on a cliff above the sparkling sea, as well as a Byzantine castle and fine mosaics, it's also known as the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. the beautiful old harbour with it's modern hotels and restaurants stretching along the promenade is a wonderful  place to relax and enjoy the daytime sunshine or the evening spectacular sunsets.
Ayia Napa: Ayia Napa has been transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a lively resort that has something for all ages and contrary to popular belief, this cosmopolitan town isn't all about bars and clubs for the younger generations. If you look closer you will discover that Ayia Napa is full of history and tradition, The centre of the town is built around a medieval monastery. Surprisingly this has been well preserved over the many centuries and a visit here is like stepping back in time.
Ruins at Temple of Apollo: Looking out over the Mediterranean from its cliff top, Kourion is the most spectacularly located ancient site in Cyprus. First settled by the fierce Mycenaeans, the city reached its apogee in Roman times, as evidenced by remnants of the empire such as its great stadium, theatre and lavish public baths. As in many of Cyprus’s greatest ancient cities, the cults of Aphrodite and Apollo thrived here, and both of these Hellenistic deities have shrines here.

The Aphrodite Water Park: The largest of the suburban villages, Geroskipou borders the east of Paphos but retains its own village identity. Known for its arts and crafts, particularly pottery, Geroskipou also has one of the best Folk Art Museums on the island. A short distance south from its central square and park is a pebble/sandy beach, the Aphrodite Water Park, go-karting, mini-golf, five-a-side football pitch and amusement (lunar) park.

Beaches: There are some fabulous beaches to explore all around the island, with caves and bays. You will always find the clear blue sea of the Mediterranean wherever you go.
Boat day cruises and fishing trips: You will find these trips advertised along the harbour at Paphos. They range from sheer lazy day cruises including swimming in the med, cruises to places of interest and full day fishing trips.
Troodos Mountains: shaded from the heat of the sun amongst thick pine forests, the scent of the pine is phenomenal, where fresh mountain streams pour downwards to hillsides terraced with vineyards. You eventually reach the summit of Mount Olympus (1951m) where you can ski December-March. There are also a variety of nature trails that lead through dramatic and unspoilt landscapes, and reveal a catalogue of flora and fauna as a constant series of pictures opens up around each corner. There is always something new to discover on Troodos, be it a Monastery, a vineyard or a simple rural farmhouse, whatever you discover it's always breathtaking. Click here for our pictures
Horse Riding: You will find opportunities to book horse riding along the beach in and around Paphos Harbour. Whole day trips or just a couple of hours of leisurely canters along the clear blue waters and sandy beaches, what better way to unwind.
